The House of Prayer for All People Church was originated from the home of Evangelist Greta and the late Elder Madison Jenkins. Born the eldest of six to the late Presley and Vernia Andrus in Mermentau, Louisana, Evangelist Jenkins, affectionately known as “Mother Jenkins” is a known scholar in the Word. Her wisdom and gift of prophecy is recorded by many over the course of her life as a Christian and her love of Christ is one of her many great attributes. Upon her appointment as overseer by the church founder the late Pastor and Bishop Robert D. Bell as demonstrated in Acts 20:28, where the Apostle Paul tells them to watch over the flock "of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers” she has held the ministry together up until the appointment of the current Pastor, Elder R. Stacey Jenkins. Evangelist Jenkins is held in high esteem for her position in Christ that has been and still is a tremendous blessing and inspiration to numerous people by orchestrating lost souls to salvation by the grace of God.
